Buying Your First Power Boat

Depending on what you are looking for in a boat will determine the design and all important engine you should go for. If you are looking for maximum speed, adrenalin and something you can tow a skiier with, then you should look towards the performance speedboat area.

If on the other hand you want something that you can use to potter around the coast-line, with occasional overnight stays you should look towards the cabin cruiser market.

If you are looking to venture way of coast and into the horizon you should go for as big a boat as you can afford. The wheather soon turns nasty as you head straight out and you do not want to be caught in a storm with just a 12 foot speedboat!
